Daniel's 2023 Mid-Year Update
Dear Friends,
I don’t normally send mid-year updates, but I can’t help sharing two recent things that have me ecstatic.
First, I created a short video course about Generative AI, introducing learners to how it’s developed, its impact on society, and the legal and ethical considerations surrounding its use.
Already over 4,000 students have taken the course on the DataCamp platform. I don’t make any money from that, but—like I mentioned in my last annual letter—I believe it’s critical for more people to understand the basics of these technologies. It’s an interesting, fun, and not-too-difficult 2 hours of learning. Dive in here.
Second, on The Craft Podcast YouTube channel, we’ve published new interviews covering a broad range of topics, including:
Building trust across cultures with former Disney executive Justin Scarpone
Shaping a career in the tech industry with former Google managing director Leonie Valentine
Creating great learning habits with polymath technologist William Entriken
Learning from these masters and sharing their stories has been enlightening. I hope you enjoy the discussions, too.
Michael and I are always on the lookout for more guests and help with running the podcast—let me know if either strikes your fancy. If you like the interviews, please subscribe. It’s the best way to tell YouTube that more people should see them.
That’s all for now. There are more than 3 full months left in 2023. Let’s make the most of them!
Best,
Daniel
